Participants and applications

The Winter School is designed for Ph.D. students, post-doctoral research fellows and early career scholars from a variety of disciplines and approaches within neuroscience, psychology, statistics and engineering. A background in (f)MRI pre-processing and analysis is strongly recommended (a very comprehensive introductory course can be found on Coursera.

At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

A minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30 participants will be admitted.

The Winter School fee is € 300 per participant.

Deadline for applications is December 1, 2020.

Each application must be in English and should include 1) a short CV; 2) a motivation letter (max 500 words). Apply here

Four scholarships are available for applicants who wish to apply. Scholarship winners will be exempt from the Winter School fee.

The Italian Psychological Association (AIP) sponsors 2 additional scholarships for doctoral students, post-doctoral research fellows, and early career scholars who are current members of any AIP section. Applicants who have already submitted their application must send a confirmation of their AIP membership status to: winterschool.dpss@unipd.it. New applicants should add this information to their brief CV.

Participants will be selected based on participants’ CV, motivation letter, research interests, and balance within the group in terms of gender and geographical origin. Incomplete applications and applications presented in languages other than English will not be considered. Notification of decisions will be sent to applicants via email by December 25, 2020.
