Participants and applications

The Winter School is designed for post-doctoral, Ph.D and Master’s students (with at least two years of research experience) with a research interest on socioeconomic factors associated to human cooperation and competition and one of the following areas: social psychology, psychology of social class, community psychology, political psychology, judgment and decision-making, behavioral economics.  

Although the Winter School will mostly focus on the aforementioned areas, candidates who are working in other fields (e.g., clinical psychology, epidemiology) and think that the topics are relevant for their work, are welcome to send their application.

At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

A minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30 participants will be admitted.

The Winter School fee is €450 per participant. This includes the 5-day course, a conference bag, coffee breaks, several guided tours in Padua, and the social dinner. Participants are required to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Each application must be in English and should include 1) a short CV; 2) a motivation letter (max 3000 characters).

Two applications will be selected for a €450 scholarship (covering the Winter School fee).

Applications will be selected based on the participants’ CV, the motivation letter, research interests, and equal gender opportunities. Incomplete applications and applications presented in other languages than English will not be considered. Decisions will be sent to applicants in the second half of December 2017.
